Our story
A Little Dream. A Lot of Heart.
Our story started with a simple dream: to build something of our own, bring people together, and make everyday treats feel a little special.
That dream became AYRE.
When we lived in Dubai, some of our favourite moments were simple ones. Catching up over something sweet, trying a new flavour, or finding a little spot we wanted to visit again. We wanted to bring that feeling to New Zealand, with a bit of our own personality.
We both come from IT backgrounds, so opening a café was a whole new adventure. We stepped outside our comfort zones, put our savings into it, and learned as we went. AYRE is our first business, and we’ve put a lot of heart into making it a place we’re proud to share with you.

Sometimes a little treat is all it takes to brighten your day. Your first spoonful of açai, a fresh waffle, a smoothie after a workout, or something sweet shared with someone you love.
Those little moments are why we do this.
Our menu brings together authentic Brazilian açai bowls, protein smoothies, Belgian waffles, mini Dutch pancakes, matcha, and coffee. There’s something for whatever you’re craving.
We like giving familiar favourites a little twist, and trying something new along the way. Pop in for a quick pick-me-up, catch up with friends, bring the family, or take a little time for yourself.

New Zealand has given us a place to build our life and follow this dream. We’d love AYRE to become one of your regular little stops, somewhere you feel welcome and always find a familiar face.
The name AYRE comes from our two sons, Ayaan and Rehaan. Their names are woven into ours, so our family is part of AYRE in more ways than one.
What started as a dream in our family is now something we get to share with yours. That means a lot to us.
We’re still learning, trying new things, and dreaming about what comes next. Every visit and every kind word helps us along the way.
